Bubbles make us happy!

So I can't pass up a deal! I was at the dollar store today and they had all there summer items on half off. I saw these bubble blowing guns and knew the kids would love them! We had so much fun!! Ethan loved running through them. We had so much fun we used up all the bubble solution and I now need to buy more. I tried making some - just not the same. So anyway, we are loving bubbles!

Emma's first day of Kindergarten!

Today was Emma's first day of Kindergarten. She and I walked to Campbell school just a few blocks down the road from our home. She ate breakfast at school, an ever healthy one at that - Pop Tart's, chocolate milk and juice.(good grief)They had a little pep rally outside just before school began. They said the pledge of allegiance and then the school fight song. (They are the Coyotes) Emma's teacher Mrs. Lloyd was leading the group. She was quite the cheerleader. She is perfect for kindergarten, very happy, perky and bouncy. We said our goodbye's and she went into school with her class and teacher. It wasn't until she left that I shed a few tears. I am anxious to pick her up today and hear all about her first day! The years seem to be flying by far to quickly for my liking. I need to invent a freeze ray that would keep my kids small for just a bit longer.

Fun, Fun, Fun

more vacation pictures

I am slowly getting pictures from our most recent trip up. Emma will begin school this Wednesday. I as a parent have mixed emotions. I am excited for her to begin this hopefully life long pursuit of education. And yet I am nervous about her being out of my watchful care for six hours of each day. She is excited and has a wonderful teacher named Mrs. Lloyd who is the ideal kindergarten teacher, perky, cheerful and very animated! I could never be a kindergarten teacher if those are the requirements.

We are trying to get in a few last swimming trips as the pools here close when school begins. I hope you have all enjoyed your Summers and wish you all an exciting and inspiring new school year!
